The Halloween party was at Karamunsing.Yes, of all places!Organised by

a Japanese restaurant-Unagi.The children had to come dressed in their

costume to entitle a goody bag and bento meal.It was a dining adult to 2 child.

Quite a few parents turned up with their children.So cute to see them in costume!

The children get to trick or treat at participating stores.

4. IN OUR LAST TRIP TO PEE, WE REALIZE THAT WE NOW LOOK MORE LIKE A HOMELESS HOOKER THAN THE GODDESS WE WERE JUST FOUR HOURS AGO.

5. WE START CRYING AND TELLING EVERYONE WE SEE THAT WE LOVE THEM SOOOOO MUCH.

6. WE GET EXTREMELY EXCITED AND JUMP UP AND DOWN EVERY TIME A NEW SONG PLAY' S BECAUSE "OH MY GOD! I LOVE THIS SONG!"

7. WE'VE FOUND A DEEPER/SPIRITUAL SIDE TO THE GEEK SITTING NEXT TO US.

8. WE'VE SUDDENLY TAKEN UP SMOKING AND BECOME REALLY GOOD AT IT.

9. WE YELL AT THE BARTENDER, WHO WE BELIEVE CHEAT US BY GIVING US JUST LEMONADE, BUT THAT'S JUST BECAUSE WE CAN NO LONGER TASTE THE VODKA.

10. WE THINK WE ARE IN BED, BUT OUR PILLOW FEELS STRANGELY LIKE THE KITCHEN FLOOR (or the mop?)

11. WE FAIL TO NOTICE THAT THE TOILET LID'S DOWN WHEN WE SIT ON IT.

12. WE TAKE OUR SHOES OFF BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IT'S THEIR FAULT THAT WE'RE HAVING PROBLEMS WALKING STRAIGHT.

Place: Keningau

This was a wedding of a friend, Vivian Yap whom I met back in 2001 in Trinity College,

Melbourne. She's from Keningau,Sabah.We stayed in touch eventhough we went separate

ways in 2002.It was quite unexpected when she announced in June that she was getting

married.She even joked saying it was not because she got pregnant!Most of her friends were

shocked at the news because she always said that she will not settle down anytime soon.

It was a very happy event.It was a Chinese wedding where 'Sisters' (friends and relatives)

of the bride were to give the groom challenges before bringing the bride to the grooms house.

The groom had to do 3 things before he was allowed to see the bride and whisk her away.

He was allowed to be helped by his 'Brothers' (friends and relatives) if necessary.I was with

the bride the whole time so what happened outside was a blur to me.We 'sisters' were given

red packets as a token of gratitude. The bride and groom had to serve tea to the brides' parents

and close relatives before proceeding to the grooms house doing the same thing.Everyone

was asked to take pictures with the bride and groom by the profesional photographer hired

before the buffet lunch served at the grooms. This was followed by a reception dinner that

took place at a hotel where they invited 55 tables of friends and relatives. The food was

fantastic-seafood!They went all the way to make sure it was a wedding to remember. Did I

mention the bride was really pretty?The groom looked good too!

I wish the newlyweds happy ever after!

Jess invited us GIRLS over to her place to make a Jamie Oliver's recipe of a Chocolate Pudding Cake.It was meant to be a fun and an all girls event which turned into a disaster...sort of because Bell brought her boyfriend which happened to be Alric over!Guess who ended up making the whole shit?Alric!Not that I don't appreciate the help...I was looking forward to it just being us girls and us trying to make the cake....not having a guy who keeps telling us we did this wrong,we should've or shouldn't have done this,blah blah blah.....I'm already a bad cook,I don't need that for something we are attempting the first time!The picture could probably tell you it was not a yummy cake...but not yucky either....no comment la...sigh....sorry Jess!But I'm sure you know how I feel la...Well,the fun part was Sheesha!Sharina brought her Sheesha over...it was strawberry mint flavor!mmmm....oh oh...we ended up asking shawn to come over.Funny guy that one!

Went to Shen's again, our regular haunt.Vui Oon only had a Vodka Lime and a glass of Whiskey and he was red as a lady bug!!Tipsy too...his drinking has not improved!hahaha...I'm getting O-L-D too!I can't drink as much as I use too without feeling tipsy!I get hangovers the next day too!sigh...look what numbers can do to us!!

It feels so great to be in Melbourne again!Only this time,I am here as a tourist.

It was great to see the shock faces of Sandy,Benny,Myrna and Ivy when they saw me.Sandy,I was so touched that you shed tears of happiness when you saw me.

Not to forget ex-classmates from my fashion course.It was great to see you(Grace,Yoshie,Maureen,Manal,Kylie and Trace) too!Well,they were the only ones who bothered to say hello anyway.I was at their 'Black & White' exhibition in David Jones for their media launch.It was great seeing the students work,felt nostalgic somehow.I miss sewing!HaHaHa

I MISS MY FREEDOM!!!

sigh....i'm freakin' 24!!my parents still treats me like a 17yr old.They are questioning my bedtime and my waking time......????Wha....????exactly!!!I don't know if I'm just not perfect enough or am really lazy. It always seem to happen when I decide to wake up late and they happen to catch it!That's miniscule.There's always something to complaint about.Who am I going to vent to?NO one!!cos no one will understand!We all have different parents after all.Whoever thinks staying home without working is such heaven,THINK AGAIN!!!!In the case for those who has maid,driver,nanny,etc.....being bored might be torture.To ME,it is pure bliss!!I'm very much a home person,but in a situation like this,I like being away from home.And you know what's the funny thing?I seems to always get it from my parents.My sister get away easy.Just shrug it off or pretend she heard nothing.Being ELDEST sucks!!Everything goes on my shoulder.Whether I like it or not,I have to do it!sigh....Maybe I'm being selfish....maybe it is a sign of being unfillial....maybe I've been home too long.....Can you tell me what my problem is???sigh.....

I can't wait for my short holiday to Australia.Half holiday,half bringing my sister over to settle her down.See...being eldest and experienced means I have to postpone everything else and bring her over.Do you call that lucky?Maybe....at least I get to be away for awhile.Taste a little bit of freedom again.I can't wait!!!

First of all,sorry to my friends for not updating you guys.My computer wasn't functioning and I've been travelling to Macau and Hong Kong for my sister's school holiday.Was away for a week.When I got back,my computer was still acting up!Frustration there!In case you are wondering,NO,it is not fixed yet.I am at a family friends place.Sad sad!!Do you feel for me?I feel for myself....tsk tsk....

My parents was away for 2 whole weeks!In America.I had the whole house to myself....and my sisters.It felt great!I can do whatever at my own pace of time!That was awesome!Oh well....won't be long til I head to Perth with my sister.Helping her settle down while I visit the place since I've never been to Perth.It'll be a great trip!

Besides that.nothing interesting has been happening.

Note to Jess,Rach and Viv:Oh oh,I was told that Dean Yang is back but will be gone next Wed.Hopefully,I can catch up with him!Will update you guys on that!

My Bestie's Trip to KK

This was the first day when Seng and Rina arrived. I showed them Tg.Aru before dropping by 'Olde Kopitiam' at Warisan Square for breakfast. Surveyed the place before heading to Atmosphere at Yayasan Sabah for lunch with my mum,sister and aunt. Seng loved the beach view while Rin loved the moving restaurant. As Rin pointed out in her blog, their stay here has a lot to do with food!hahaha....Bet you guys miss the food now!

The first night we partied at Shenanigans. Alric,Keffrey and Voon were so happy to see Saerah as they have not seen her for about 7yrs!Time flies!Another interesting part of the night was Rina wore a skirt,a mini-skirt!va-va-voom!She looked hot!I think we all had a great time!Seng,that was the first time I've seen you totally out there!She left Shen all steady,but once at home,she surrendered!hahaha

That was the yummy breakfast Rina's mum cooked us the bext day.Nasi lemak!My favourite!Rina joked about her place being the ultimate bed & breakfast that no other place can compare!I agree Rin!Come back soon ya!hahahahha

Made a trip to Karambunai.Saerah's main itinerary for her trip to KK was to see,breath and touch the beach!Wish come true I'd say!Too bad we couldn't stay long as it started drizzling. It was great having Nurnadia, Voon and Bryan with us for the picnic.Only wish more people could've made it!

On the second night,we ended up in Shenanigans again.Initially,we wanted to go to the Bed at Waterfront but because we still had a bottle of Chivas in Shen and Bev wanted to go to Shen,we decided to go back to Shen. This time,Terence turned up and this other guy call Max.We bumped into Emil and Kamal.The crowd was larger and better tonight.We tried speeding things up by playing cards.Really funny!We ended up finishing the drink without the aid of the cards!hahaha...

Last day for Seng and Rina. Drove them around.Stopped by Tg.Lipat for pictures of the sea.Last stop was Tg.Aru.Had a drink before sending them to the airport.Spent some time at the airport before saying our goodbyes.It was sad but nevertheless, contended.It was great to have you guys around.Come back soon!!xx

First of all,

Second of all,

I'd like to share my first attempt with nail art.

I always thought it was hard but I never thought it was this hard.

Maybe it was a first attempt.

It took me an hour to do both hands.Not calculatting drying time.

Pretty fast I'd say,considering it would take twice ot thrice as long in nail salons!

I was too anxious to get it done,hence,I smudged a few fingers.

I applied gold tone yellow nail polish,attached stick on laces and stuck diamantes.

I got compliments out of it.I was happy but I myself knew that this nail

art was a complete failure.Oh well,first attempt!hahaha

My Sydney Trip

It's a little bit late but just want to share my trip to Sydney with my fellow friends.

A very brief description of my trip-->
I went to Sydney last year in November.Stayed at Viv's apartment and her bf, Thomas drove us around.Thanks guys!We took a ferry and saw Luna Park,Sydney Opera House and the Harbour bridge.Made a trip to Sandy's house and met her cat,KuKu.Went to a couple of malls and Paddy's market(Similar to Victoria market in Melbourne).Visited the Pancake Parlour in Sydney,had chocolate pancake.Gets a bit sickening after a few bites,especially after a very full dinner!Nevertheless,it was good!

Eating was mainly on the tour itinery.Vivian,being an expert with food brought me around trying Chinese and Japanese food,not only mains but dessert as well!YUM!!I also went to the famous Fish market.We ordered so much we had a hard time finishing it!It was quite an experience!I also tried the ever famous Deep Fried Mars Bars.It was yummy,not something you'd have often though!

It was a short but fun and enjoyable stay!Recommended for a holiday but not for long term stay.Sandy might argue that with me!haha..

Nothing interesting recently except Vivian introduced me to Trace who started the magazine YOBE. It is a local (Sabahan) fashion magazine in Chinese.Has lots of potential to become a better magazine in time to come. The magazine is currently on hold for further improvements whilst Trace takes a trip down to Perth for a break and to re-evaluate the possibilities of the magazine.She also introduced me to an old friend of hers,Camuel,a guy who studied photography in San Jose, California.Thanks for introducing them to me Viv!

MY best friend Saerah and Rina are going to make a trip back to KK to visit me!YAY!Can't wait!I have not seen Saerah for 1 1/2 yrs now.I can't wait to bring her around and show her the changes around KK.
Another exciting event is the possibility of a trip to Singapore with my mum.I have not set foot into Singapore for about 6yrs!A holiday away from home will be nice.

All the hype of February has died down.
Most of my friends are back to wherever they need to be right now(studies,jobs,etc..).
Festive season and other celebrations are over.
I just had a minor skin surgery(to extract this mole-like thing growing on my left arm near my pits) that does not allow me to do much!Stitches will come off this sat.Can't wait!restricted movement is a pain in the ass!!
I am totally clueless as to where to start with job hunting although I know where I would like to go.I'm not as independent or as confident/capable as I thought I was with the whole "I'll get round to it eventually!".This next big step to the 2nd part of my life is alot harder than I thought.Shit!
Miss my freedom of being alone, can't wait to have a life I can call my own again!This will come round when I do get a job!!
I am starting to get sensitive. I am beginning to feel the pressure from my parents that I am sitting around doing nothing. Wanting to stay home and watch TV feels like a crime.Why?My mum makes me feel guilty for wanting to stay home and do my own things!She has her way of expressing them.
I feel bored,yet I don't know how I would like to go about my life right now.Somebody gotta point me in a direction.Yes I know,start looking for a job....but....as I mentioned above,I am lost.May sound like a lame excuse but that is exactly how i feel....maybe I am anxious about this whole job situation, maybe I am just waiting for something to come along,maybe......

Strawberry Fondue

Went to Suzuki's Victoria Night Market (Every Wednesday). Starts today and ends only 28th Feb 2007.

Had good yummy food (There were Spanish,German,Chinese,Jap,Babylon,etc..).Sadly didn't manage to take pics of everything and the food we had. Manage to take this~Strawberry fondue both Sindy and I had.Yum~

There were also stalls selling unique accessories and clothes, home made chocolates, soap bars, art works, paper lamps, metal plates,temporary tattoos, etc...

I managed to pick up a unique ring crafted from leather into a rose as well as an Amethyst pendant that I've been searching for awhile.Pretty good prices too!hehe..

Definitely worth visiting!

Went to St.Kilda Beach today. Haven't been there for quite awhile. Sunny day but with cold wind,probably because we were by the beach also. Had a late breakfast there,waited 30min for our food to arrive!But the waiter was kinda cute,so it was alright!hehehe...Browsed through the 'Art & Craft' market,some were pretty cute but also comes with a cute price!hahaha

It has been awhile since I bought a new shoe and I had my eyes on this when it first came out.Was waiting for the price to go down but it has been months and it has not gone down,so I thought, what the heck,shoe prices are pretty standard here especially ones like these.I chose black out of 3 other different color,more versatile!

She had Choc cheese cake and Sandy & I shared Tiramisu, it was one of the best Tiramisu I've tasted!hehehe...Can't remember when was the last time we actually sat down and enjoyed cakes!It was great!Today's weather was a bonus on the cake indulgence!Hopefully the weather will maintain!

I am so exhausted!

Been in and out of uni everyday, will go on til next week!That's for sure!

Have been sewing in school, 2 of my garments are almost done...just a lil bit of here and there to go. Another 1 to sew and 1 to draft before I can sew. That's 2 in total to sew...oh, and another singlet and tights, basic complementary garments. Still..on my 'to complete' list! There's boards as well!Have not started the boards!!!sniff sniff....If you are wondering what am I doing here updating my blog..this is the only break I have before I start my development work. No rest for me really....besides eating and showering.

Oh well, this is the last of what life in uni is about for me!Might as well make the most of it!

The Last of My Millinery

This was my last contribution towards my accessories/millinery class. I made 2 black roses for my Phantom of the Opera/Venetian inspired mask fascinator. I wanted something DRAMATIC.

The other fascinator was made of Sinamay and was inspired by pretzels!I know, of all things!Pretzel came to my mind when I was twisting the sinamay,hence, the outcome. I added fur and diamantes to prettify it...hehe...This was chosen to be put on display after assessment today!YaY!

I made a Barbie leg brooch.Inspired by budoir. I really wanted it to work more extravagantly but time only allowed this.Nonetheless, I am happy with it.

Any orders for Melbourne Cup?HAHAHA

Unpleasant Dinner!

Last night was a very awkward and unpleasant night!Thanks to this guy that decides to express his frustration from work or gawd knows what other situation he came across with!A 26 yr old guy mind you!Sorry it happened Sandy!I feel for you deeply.This guy just ruined the dinner and the atmosphere of the dinner was so tense that you could barely enjoy the food!Because of this,Sandy got indigestion!I didn't feel like I had dinner at all...I felt like I was sitting at a table with some random people and heard arguements live!I don't know why but I felt pissed.

AAarrRgGGgghHHhhhhhhhhh........

There were other things that pisses me as well but I'd rather not mention it further.Volcanoes would erupt if I do!

Flowermaking in Accessories

This week in accessories class we had flowermaking. This is my first attempt at making a flower out of silk habitue. First lesson was to make a rose. First we rinse the fabric in PVA+water, then we hang them/blow dry the fabric. Next, we created pattern pieces in 3 different size plus a piece for finishing. We cut the the fabric from the pattern pieces(placed on bias) and to start off, I folded a rectangle piece to look like a flower bud and tied it with wire. Florist tape was used to wrap around the wire. Then I moulded and rolled the edges with my thumb/fingers for a real rose effect.I placed each one on one at a time. Each petal were sewn to hold the petals together. This is not a completed rose but would like to share it with you guys!A rose for everyone~ ;)

The wooden heart earring was made by me. It was actually a button but I decided to make it into a pair of earring.I made a pair for Sindy, Sandy and myself. Hope you guys like it!

This set of keys were actually a mind puzzle piece. Sindy and I were at Mind Games, a game shop down on Swanston st to look at what they sell in the store (Been here for 3 yrs but never stepped in before!) when I came across this. I had in mind to make it as an accessory,it is a trend to wear keys around your neck!Hahaha...Retailers marked up such high price for a simple key necklace that I thought this would make a great key necklace at more than a fraction of the price!Sindy agreed too!That's why we decided to get it.Now it has become a symbol of our friendship!Some idiot from my class said it was a 'lover's' thing!Female to female?Try friendship luv!

This was Jacqueline and Adam's last night in Melbourne before they were due to fly 6am the next day to Perth. We decided to be adventurous for dinner and went to this old,really old Italian place for dinner called 'Pellegrini's' (I think that's how you spell it!). Thought it might be good since it has a lil'bit of history to it and it being there still after so long!Boy,were we all wrong!The food were nowhere near GOOD,it was below average,for me at least!I ordered Lasagne and I could not see what was in it!It cost me $13!!Damn not worth it!Sorry Jacq!It's not u,I did agree on trying but got really dissapointed!All in all,it was still an experience.Did I mention that it was a bar like seating?The place was a like a fast food Italian diner!

After dinner we went to Strike.We had 2 games of pool.Chen Haur and I in a team while Jacq and Adam a team. We lost the first round cause Chen Haur sent the white ball in with the black ball.Jacq and Adam won the 2nd round,we had 3 balls left!It was fun,pool area was not packed!

Next we went for a game of bowling.Adam scored 147!He was the best among us!Jacq came in second,I came in third and Chen Haur came in last!He didn't like bowling.

They stopped by my place to have a look before Chen Haur sent them back to their hotel.After giving Jacq and Adam a hug, I could really feel that they were leaving for good.Gawd knows when will the next time be when I see them again!I felt the sadness all the while til I went to bed.I was really really tired so I fell asleep without much thought.

Missing you already Jacq~

Royal Melbourne Show 06'

Announcing 'The Royal Melbourne Show' 2006!

It was a fun event that has exhibitions of arts & crafts, fashion shows, night live concerts, rides, game stalls, food expo, animal expo and showbags!!Entrance was $16 for concession which does not include food,showbags and rides.
There were 7 of us that went. Christie(Sandy's sister), Sandy,Ellie,Sindy,Adam,Jacqueline and I. Jacq and Adam left early while the rest of us trawl the arena til 8pm.We got there about 3pm.We started of with eating,first meal of the day!Ellie,Sindy and I had Hot Dogs.We walked around and looked at animals.The Alpaca's were interesting as it is not something you get to see everyday.The cats and dogs were adorable!

Next we went to the Arts & Crafts exhibition where there were all sorts of crafts on display.There were drawings by high school and primary school kids.Cross stitchings of all levels and colours, calligraphy, Cake decorations, baking competition(were judged beforehand),wooden craft,patch work, smocking and pottery.

There were plenty of rides but they were expensive as you have to pay for each ride.The interesting ones were charged at $15 per ride while the less exhilirating ones were charged $6 per ride.Quite a rip-off really!Sandy and Ellie went for 2 rides where they got stuck in one of them and got their money refunded!Scary hanging in mid-air!Apparently the fuel ran out!What kind of carelessness/ignorance is this?Thank goodness everything was fine!

Did a lot of food tasting while in the food expo.Tasted yoghurt,Cadbury ice-cream with hazelnut sauce,chocolates,chips and wine!Although in bite size portion,I got full after tasting all of those.I bought a bar of Merlot Vintage Chocolate for $5.Pretty good.What made it better is that you can hardly find it in the city!Should've bought more...dang!hahaha...

The last stop was to the showbag expo.There were so many different ones!There were confectionary showbags,costumes,gag bag,magazines showbags,girls only showbags and kiddies/cartoon showbags.What got people crazy about showbags is the price.You have multiple things in the showbags for about a fraction of the price and they are pretty neat stuff too!I got a Winx Club showbag for Mel and A SpongeBob hat for Becca.Only got myself a Luxury showbag that cost me $5.Had a current issue of the Readers Digest, Home Decoration-old issue,samples of creams and confectionaries, and a bottle of Oyster sauce!How funny is that!You pretty much miss the point of being in the Royal Melbourne Show if you do not buy at least a showbag!After all,I think that is the specialty of the show.

It was a tiring but FUN day!

Who would've thought that Jelly shoes will be in fashion?But yes,it is!This is proof!haha...well,not really but a girl in my fashion department imported these shoes from Korea to sell em' here.Something happened so she donated about 50-80 pairs to the fashion department for the fundraising sale for the end of the year 3rd year exhibition.Sold quite a few of these shoes,I was sucked into purchasing it as well!hehe...only $8 for 2 pairs...you get the picture!Got the green pair for my bestie,and the rest is mine!hehehehe....

Ivy's bday

Thursday was Ivy's b'day. She turned 26. Feels different i think...I have not very long to go...don't want to get there!Back to Ivy...We had dinner at Red Ant. There were Ivy, her mum, Zoey, Christie, Chris, Sindy, Sandy and I. We had Chinese food and later proceed to So Bar, opposite where I am living for drinks. Later the night, Ivy brought the cake out. Not one of those common cake, it was profiterols.We sang her a b'day song, she cut the cake and we all had one each....nice but too sweet as it was chocolate covered with chocolate cream filling.Nothing interesting happened besides a few things.Should I mention it?hmm.....I will ask a question and you can tell me what you think.

If you are a parent with your daughter and her friends having dinner, will you settle the bill or split the cost with whoever is at the table?Especially if it was a special ocassion? Bit of a thought there.

Anyway, we generally had a bit of fun although all we did was sit, drink and talk, and did take a few nice pictures.

*Note to myself* Keep in mind never to assume things and not to attend one of those so called dinner/ parties where you chip in for an expensive gift expecting a dinner treat only to find out later that you have to pay for your dinner eventhough you were invited.Does it make sense?

Accessories class this week was far more interesting for me than the previous two weeks. Th very reason was the involvement of leather. This week's theme was on natural products where there were bamboo sticks, leaves, feathers, leathers, hay stacks, toothpick, etc.... I got really excited when I saw leather!I picked different shade, thickness and grain of leathers to work on. These were what i came up with. Really like em'!Does the first one give you a feel of Marni?hehe...I thought they bought had a Marni feel to it....earthy tones and organic designs!hehe..

Friday night was a special night for me...Firstly, Sandy cooked me dinner!hehehe....something she does not do just for anyone!I feel so special!

She had a third degree burn on her hand from preparing dinner, something she'll remember me by!hahaha...I appreciate all the hard work dear!I rated it 6/10, it has improved since the last time she cooked me dinner.I rated her 4/10 then because the pumpkin soup didn't work. It worked this time!She had glutinous ball in the pumpkin soup too!It was yummy since I was never big on pumpkin anything. Good job Sandy!She also prepared grilled vegetables that has carrot, brocolli, onions, zucchini and potato in it. Healthy choice!hehe...Along with that on the main was steak with garlic sauce. That was well done too!Always looking forward towards dessert, she prepared Orange Almond cookies!It was good as it was kind of my taste.I still liked your muffins darling!Looking forward to more of your cooking!

Later the night, Sandy, Sindy and I joined Benny and a friend of his, Koki (a Japanese) to Brunswick st for a DJ competition Benny enrolled himself in. It was my second time seeing him performing in a competition. He was good...way better than the last time I saw him perform in KL. His performance was different from others, it was unique to someone like me who does not know jack shit about DJing!Way to go Benny (aka. MOLE)!!hehehe.....The best part of the competition was.......*drum roll pls*...............

Benny came in THIRD!!!!!We were so happy for him!He was ecstatic of course!he couldn't stop grinning the whole night!Although he did complaint that the prize was a cheaper model compared to what he owns now. It is the title that is important isn't it Benny?Gonna look better in your resume now!hahaha....

We were also privileged to receive a copy of his limited copies (13 only) self-made compilation. Have not listened to everything but judging by his talent,I know it'll be good!hahaha...*Note to Benny,Don't smirk at the side giving the look saying you know you are good ok!Deflate your ego ...pls!*LOL.

This Weeks Update!

I finally own a pair of Converse!hehe...I'm not a big fan of sports shoe or sneakers but the craze of owning a pair of Converse and matching it with anything in the wardrobe has me itching to get one. Especially this one I got where it is the leather version instead of the fabric ones.I have a thing for leather,a very big fan indeed!This pair came all the way from Hong Kong.My lovely friend Seiji was nice enough to search for it for me as I could not find these in Melbourne.Because he could not make it back here, he posted it over with a few other items in my want list!

In my accessories class this week, we moved into making jewelleries with plastic. This was a necklace I made at the start of the class. No idea yet so made this one.Turned out to be something I'd wear,suppose it was a succesful piece then?haha~

Then I made the following necklace with a matching pair of earring. Making jewelleries out of old material was pretty interesting. It was a challenge I'd say. The second piece reminded me of the 80's because of the bright colours and plastic components. Not sure how wearable that will be but it is a work of art,SOMEHOW! It is a nice to look at but fragile to wear pieces of jewelleries.

I have a habit of updating my blog at one go instead of doing it on separate days,that is because I am only able to update it on the weekend where I can spare an hour or two.Now you know in case you realize and wondered!hehe...

This was last Friday after dinner where Ivy,Sindy,Christy and I went to Il Freddo at Lygon just to have Durian gelati.It is the only place in Melbourne that serves Durian gelati and they are very popular for that.It was a warm Friday so we decided to head there for this.It is not always where we,or I get to go Lygon for Durian gelati.Everyone is either on a diet, too lazy to go or too full from dinner for it.It felt good to taste Durian!Although not the real fruit,hehe...didn't get to have it when I was back for my mid-semester break.mmm.....I miss Durian!hahaha

Artistic Taste~

I never use to appreciate artistic things.Always thought they were artistic because people define them as that.That was until I started my fashion course and realized that people around me,locals or internationals,appreciate artistic accessories.Maybe its' the culture,western culture,or maybe just personal liking.

My housemate,Sindy spent over a hundred on a beautiful piece of laser cut cinderella horse carriage necklace. It was really beautiful.At that moment,I thought to myself that I will never put that much money on a piece of necklace!After a period of 6 months or so,and getting closer to Sindy,I got the influence to appreciate beautiful,artistic and hand crafted accessories. My first splurge was a 'Winged' necklace made out of a type of nut wood.It was designed and hand crafted by a British designer named Tatty Devine.Cost me A$89!It was expensive and I took 20mins to decide whether to buy it or not,I really liked it but was not prepared to pay for it!In the end,I went ahead and bought it.I figured,hey,it is not everyday I come across something I really like and figured that this was a piece to keep.Did I mention that it is a limited number piece within Australia?Got quite a few compliments from this,totally worth it!I'm still in love with it!hehehe...my mum said I was crazy to pay so much for a wooden necklace!hahaha...This is where appreciation come in!

I started the day with an oral Presentation for my Fashion Industry Practise class today,went well.Few comments that my presentation was intelligent!Surprise Surprise!I did a debate titled "Can the World Afford Fashion?".A challenging topic some would say but that was one topic that I thought I was more familiar with formatwise compared to 4 other topics.Meant to present for 5mins with questions from the floor of students and teacher.Not sure if I answered them well but one thing I know was that the teacher was dumbstruck for a few long seconds before asking me a question.Nobody from the class asked anything!Either they did not understand what I was saying or I did not make any sense!So glad it is over now, although there are other parts of my course to worry about!

Anyway, I went shopping with my coursemate,Sandy after the class ended.We bought so many things at a real bargain price!I bought 2 cardigans at a shop down Elizabeth and A'Beckett' street for A$29!Is that a bargain or what?There's more,later we went to a shop round Little Collins st(never stumbled upon,perhaps never gone through that way!haha) where they sell unique and artistic jewelleries.We both bought a laser cut plastic adornment that was down from A$35 to A$15.It was a cute brooch of a lady(pic included) for me and a pair of earring for my friend,Sandy.Wait,there's more!Hahaha...We went for lunch in the city and headed to Target.They have revamped the store(more clothings now!Tell me,how is it possible that the world can't afford fashion when there's so many choices and offerings out there at all sorts of prices!!). Initially,we did not see anything we would buy(on the floor) so we decided to head downstairs and saw a whole section of heavily reduced price clothing.Everything was less than $10!!!We went ballistic searching for styles that we hope would come in our sizes.I managed to buy a simple black top and a cardigan for $10.10!!I even rummaged and found a Hello Kitty nightie that my housemate,Sindy had her eyes on before.It was only $5.05 so I decided to get it for her.She was delighted to receive it although it was one size too big.It was meant for sleeping after all!Whew....that was my day!It felt good to do some shopping,especially at such cheap prices!Bargain!hehe...

It has been awhile since I hung out with Benny.He dropped by on Sunday (20th August) for a visit. It was good to see him and catch up,well,not really catch up.My housemate and I were bombarding him with snide remarks and teasing him so badly!Although he looked as though he couldn't take it anymore (he's good with his expression),I bet he was enjoying every minute of it!hehe..weren't you Benny?Nice of him to drop by.My housemate and I went to Safeway to buy groceries and he tagged along,he was salivating over 'Cookies and Cream' ice-cream!He bought it in the end and had 2 cups!Of course we were given our share.Benny helped us with preparing dinnerwhich was cooked by my housemate,Sindee!Three cheers to Sindee!hehe..I'm lucky I know!I did my share too!I did all the dishes!hahaha....It was a fun day!Looking forward to the next time!

Woo hoo~

I am finally here,starting my own blog. Isn't that exciting?I know,I know,I'm outdated with this whole blogging thing.At least I'm here...hehe...
Honestly,I don't know what to say or how to start this blogging phenomenon.I guess it'll be a good way to look back at my life.I mean ME looking back at my own life.Now,now,I know whoever is reading this might think, "who would be interested in looking at your life?",but you are!There, YOU are reading my blog!Gotcha!Hahaha
